THE BOX is a venue for fashion accessories housed in the heart of Paris, in the prestigious Pavillion Cambon, during the Paris Fashion Week. The exhibition displays an essential offer of bags, jewelry, scarves, and other accessories except shoes, and it’s complementary to the offer of PREMIERE CLASSE trade show.
This March, Thames and Hudson are releasing Beaton in Vogue, an extraordinary compilation of the best pictures shot by Cecil Beaton for Vogue during his years reporting the magazine.
Beaton captured starlets and socialites alike, but are the portraits of the British royal family which stand over his entire work. Queen Elizabeth II was still a young princess when she first sat for Beaton in 1942. Over the next years he photographed her on many occasions, including her Coronation Day in 1953.
The Victoria and Albert Museum is celebrating the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee holding an exhibition of her best portraits by Cecil Beaton, showing her Majesty in her roles as princess, monarch and mother.
